This holiday season I’ve really been in the mood to get crafty and decorate all while working within a budget. So I hit up my dollar tree store and grabbed a few items to make a new holiday wreath.
I grabbed fake flowers, berry and pinecone fillers, ribbon, and a hanging ornament that says “joy”. Â My local store also carried foam rings that would work as the base to my wreath.
If you want some tips and ideas, check out my video below.
Okay, I just bought a sewing machine because of you lovely ladies. You make me feel so crafty! And I haven’t touched a sewing machine since my 1984 home economics class. I hope it comes with instructions, hehe! Love the wreath!! Again, you make me want to go gather the supplies to make it!! 😀
Oh my gosh!!! I’m so excited to here this! This is totally our mission statement, to inspire others to be crafty and creative. You have TOTALLY made my year, Paula! I can’t wait to see what you create. And the best instructions I’ve found (because I’m still learning) is YouTube. Really I’ve learned so much from YouTube and just practicing on scraps. Good luck! I can’t wait to see what you make!
Thank you!! 😀
Oh Paula! I’m so excited for you! What did you get? Do you get instructions from the dealer on your new baby?!?!?
I don’t know! I just barely got it. It’s a Brother, definitely not a high end one, but I didn’t want to spend a lot if I can’t figure it out, lol. But that’s one of the reasons I asked if that runner you made, if the edge was hand sewn because if it was, I’d have to call it a day right then, lol!!
Good choice kiddo! We’re both here for you, ask anything and we’ll do our best to help. That entire runner was done on my machine! No hand stitching lol!
Awesome! Thank you!! I just put it on Instagram and tagged you guys. 😀
I’ll go look! Whoohoo!!!
This is so cute!
Thank you!! It’s on my wall and every time I see it makes me happy.
