Hobbies Up To Here Episode #31

Hey hobbyists and crafters.

It’s been a full week since Quiltcon 2016 and we’re dealing with the aftermath. New followers (hey everyone!!!), lots of content (hello blog posts galore!) and a few bumps in the road (where are all of our podcasts in iTunes?). But we’re managing to make it through and to continue doing what we love: getting’ crafty!!!

We love hearing from our followers and listeners so feel free to sent us a message via Twitter: @kekibird or @doricrafts. We really appreciate your friendship and your support!!!

The music heard in this week’s podcast is a live recording of my dad playing Fire and Rain by James Taylor.

  1. IF you want sources for traditional blocks I would suggest > BARBARA BRACHMAN ENCYCLOPEDIA OF QUILT BLOCKS , JENNY BYERS > Quilter Album of PATCHWORK PATTERNS ( check the library but no patterns in the books) and my favorite source > EQ7 Block Base software ( has all the patterns in foundation, template and rotary cutting instructions) ….. these sources have over 4000 royalty free traditional blocks. The original sources and the multiple names are listed. I think you will find these helpful for your competition pieces.
