A shout out to Sonja at the Golden State Quilt shop in Campbell, CA. If you are doing the Row by Row experience this year, check out her shop up there. Her row is very cute! She turned us onto the Generation Q Magazine and we’re super impressed with it so far. I even went and got myself a subscription!

And now for my WIP this week, my patriotic runner from Stars and Scraps Quilt Shop in Corona, CA. The colors are so rich and just beautiful. I’ve officially cut all the triangles and center squares expect I ran out of my lighter color, EEK! I’ll run to JoAnn’s tomorrow to get a scrap to fill it in. It’s a light cream/white solid and I only need two more A blocks!

I’m making the 9 inch square and plan to make a full table runner with it as a gift.

Stickies to help me remember what each color will make in the pattern.

Such gorgeous, rich colors. I can’t wait for it to come together!

Southern California Quilter’s Run Day 3

Our final day was spent trekking around Orange County, our home!

At Tranquility Quilts in Cypress, Dori bought a raffle ticket to win this beautiful quilt. It’s a very rich quilt with deep colors.

We also saw this great tee-shirt quilt made of Harley-Davidson shirts.

Then we popped over to Flying Geese Fabrics in Tustin. Boy was it busy there! Dori picked up her Gypsy Gripper and got a small freebie, too! Our last stop on our tour was the Orange Quilt Bee in Orange. It was hard to turn in our passports but we’re excited to plan to hit more shops in 2016!

Southern California Quilter’s Run Day 2

Day 2 is in the books! We made our way out to Riverside and Corona to visit the Quilter’s Cocoon and the Stars & Scraps Quilt Shop. Both great shops that offer a lot. Our last stop was our local shop The Quilt Cupboard. Lots of options for classes and projects to try out!
This vlog is very short on Dori due to just not having time to stop and catch some moments in between shops. But we’ve made up for the in the next video so stay tuned.

Southern California Quilter’s Run Day 1

Last Thursday saw the beginning of the Southern California Quilter’s Run. We took a chance and decided to vlog our experience and post it to our YouTube channel. Check out how our first day went!

We visited three shops out in area 1. Our first stop was Quilt n’ Things in Montrose. Had never been to Montrose and found it to be quaint and beautiful and somewhere worth returning to. Our next stop was in Pasadena at New Moon Textiles. This place is huge! Our last stop was SewNSew in Glendora, another big shop. It’s laid out like a labyrinth!
